Sorry, everyone: it looks like there won’t be a PC demo for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution after all.
Today marks the day when the promised demo was due to hit, and sure enough, it arrived – along with a press release saying that “a demo is available starting today on the PlayStation Network and on the Xbox Games Marketplace.” You will note the distinct lack of mention of a PC version, there. I’ve had a wander around a few likely websites for the PC demo, but I’ve come up with nothing.
Equally irritating is that today marks the announcement of the “Storm League”, an ESL-advised tournament system that will let players create their own little competitions and tournaments… and which also may not be hitting the PC version, because the first step is apparently to register with either your Gamertag or your PSN ID. Now, that might be coming to the PC version of Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution anyway – it’s active in today’s console-only demo, so obviously, today’s announcement will focus on the consoles – but it’s still a little bit irritating to not even get a mention. Just tell us, guys! We can take it!
I’ve dropped an email to Bandai Namco asking if we can expect a PC demo of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution at some point in the future, and I’ll let you know if I hear anything back.
