Gabe Newell took part in some sort of cosmic joke yesterday, appearing on Reddit to say he’d be doing an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session later that day and then disappearing. Admittedly, there was some confusion because Newell had (according to Reddit rules) posted his intentions too early leading to things being deleted and bureaucracy galore.
By the looks of things, Newell may well be returning today at around 2pm Pacific Time (5pm Eastern, 10pm over in the UK.) That’s according to an email response that a Reddit user is claiming to have received from the man himself. Asked about the AMA, Newell writes “Tomorrow, the 4th, 2:00PST>”
It could, of course, be a gigantic fake (I’ve not exactly combed over the pixels with my photoshop detective kit,) but Gabe is pretty well known for responding to simple email questions. Until there’s evidence to the contrary, it’s reasonable to assume that he will be partaking in the rescheduled AMA in about two and a half hours time.
