Paradox really, really like their comedy trailers, it seems. I’m not surprised, given how great Jazz Boatman’s stuff was, but I wasn’t really expecting that in the announcement trailer for the sequel to vaguely po-faced hex-based fantasy strategy game Warlock: Master of the Arcane. Yet, here we are! Warlock 2: The Exiled has a comedy trailer.
This one doesn’t have Jazz Boatman, unfortunately, but it does have someone parodying Ron Perlman’s War Never Changes stuff, as well as referencing Total War, and talking about giant turtles, and… well, look, it’s worth a watch.
In related news, Paradox have announced Warlock 2: The Exiled. Expect constant warfare (and yes, there is a WAR-lock pun related to this in the press release), 150 spells, multiplayer ranging from PvP to co-op PvE, a new Exile mode that has you battling across the shards of the shattered land, and also the ability to play the old Master of the Arcane mode with the sequel’s new features. Also, lots of creatures “from giant rats and dwarven prospectors to werewolves with hats on them.” Emphasis not mine, for once.
Warlock 2: The Exiled is due out in spring 2014.
