1C Game Studios has announced that pre-orders for IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad have opened, and there’s a new trailer to celebrate.
If you’re interested in the combat flight-sim, you’ve got two pre-order options – a standard edition for $49.99 USD, and a shiny PREMIUM EDITION for $89.99.
If you opt for the standard edition, you get early access to the game in winter 2013, a silver logo under your avatar in the community forum, and a base set of six aircraft – the LaGG-3 (Series 9), the Bf-109 F-4, the IL-2 AM-38 (1942), the Ju-87 D-3, the Pe-2 (series 87 and 110), and the He-111 H-6. You can also earn access to the Yak-1 and Bf-109 G-2 in game, and I’m hoping all of these designations mean something to somebody.
Those who plump for the premium edition get early access in autumn, a gold logo under their avatar, a special label next to their name in-game, and an extra two aircraft – the La-5 and the FW-190 A-3. These two apparently can’t be earned in game by those who don’t opt for the premium edition, but will be available for purchase on the store a bit later.
You can pre-order IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad here, and have a gander at the pre-order trailer below.
