BioWare has released part one of a ‘making of’ series, dealing with Dragon Age II.
In this video, you’ll hear male-Hawke’s voice, witness some eerie flirting and wonder why everybody still wears blood like it’s a hot new fashion statement. There’s also a suggestion that an early concept for Hawke was some kind of unhinged, blood-licking werewolf.
It’s a curious video in some ways. The developers seem to be intent on telling us how similar to Dragon Age: Origins this is, while at the same time making it clear that it’s very different; as if that were somehow not impossible. A tactical approach to combat looks to have been replaced with a more action-ey direction, but there hasn’t really been enough of this shown to make a concrete judgement about it.
Dragon Age II is due on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on 11 March 2011.
