Is the New Eridu City Fund worth it in Zenless Zone Zero? (ZZZ)

How much is quick progression worth to you?

Hoyoverse games may be free-to-play, but there are always avenues to spend money. In Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), one of those is the New Eridu City Fund, but the real question is, is it worth it? Let me explain everything you need to know before dropping your hard-earned cash.

Nevermind the Eridu Welcome Gift, The New Eridu City Fund is a list of rewards you can earn by completing daily and weekly tasks. Many of these assignments are rudimentary, like logging in or spending Battery Charge. You can check these by scrolling over to Expansion Tasks (pictured above).

You’ll unlock the New Eridu City Fund early on as part of your progress through the main story.

Once you’ve unlocked the fund, you can access it anytime through the pause menu. The New Eridu City Fund is similar to a Battle Pass in games like Fortnite and Call of Duty.

Like those titles, there’s a free track (Basic Plan) from which everyone can earn rewards. There’s also a premium track (Growth Plan) that you can only access if you pay to unlock it.

The Fund works on a seasonal timer, and you can see how long is left in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Remember, the New Eridu City Fund is different from the Eridu Welcome Gift. The Eridu Welcome Gift is a one-off purchase and may not be worth it for everyone.

Fortunately, all rewards are earnable retroactively. This means you can buy the Growth Plan down the line without missing out.

Should you unlock the New Eridu City Fund in Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ)

I wouldn’t tell anyone how to spend their money, but your funds may be better used elsewhere if you don’t play daily.

The Growth Plan for the New Eridu City Plan is notably more expensive than several other items in Zenless Zone Zero. Plenty of valuable rewards are up for grabs, but you must play a lot to earn them all.

If Zenless Zone Zero is your main game, the Growth Plan may be worth it, as all the extra currencies will make your progress much smoother. However, you’ll be disappointed if you’re looking for Tapes to spend on the Signal Search for new Agents.

The Premium track only gives you four additional Encrypted Master Tapes and 780 Polychrome. With this in mind, the Growth Plan’s value comes from all the EXP items you can earn. There’s also a selection of W-Engines at level 30 of the Growth Plan.

If I had to recommend anything, I’d say don’t buy the Growth Plan immediately. There are 50 levels to the New Eridu City Fund. It may be worth considering if you play enough to make it to the end. You can pay even more for the Premium Plan (Pictured above) to skip some levels, but that’s a no-go, in my opinion.

If you’re a low-spender and are looking for the best deal, the Inter-Knot Membership may be for you. The Membership offers a ton of currency for the Signal Search, but you don’t get it all right away.
