How to create a dedicated server in Aska

It takes more than one to start a village.

Dedicated servers in Aska can make life easier for you and your friends. However, with the game in early access, the feature might not be there. To know how to create a dedicated server in Aska, you can read this guide.

Aska: how to create a dedicated server

To answer this question right off the bat, you can’t have dedicated servers at the moment. This is because right now, Sailor Sand Studios is busy making sure the game runs smoothly. However, Aska has a P2P multiplayer, which can enable you to play with others. While you can’t have a dedicated server, you can still play multiplayer. Having friends can make life easier, you can have the villagers do jobs like planting seeds and real players can harvest logs. The more people working on the base the better.

The one thing I should note is that you can’t take your single-player base to the multiplayer section of Aska. You’ll need to start from the ground zero. But, if you have three other friends helping you, things will go up in no time.

What other multiplayer features does Aska have?

Aside from the P2P and having co-op, there’s not much outside of that. If you’re looking to do PVP, at the time of writing this guide, there seems to be no PVP either. But, just like dedicated servers, we could see this system implemented once the game is more stable. For now, it seems to be just PVE with co-op.

I don’t think a game like Aska would benefit from features like PVP. There are enough enemies to worry about. Plus, when the Red Moon spawns, things do get harder, and your base does get attacked. So having another group of players run up on you and your friends would be an unnecessary challenge. On the other hand, it could make things more fun and add the element where you could be attacked every day as opposed to certain days.

If you can’t get friends to help you, try recruiting villagers in Aska.
