Raids are the ultimate challenge in Destiny 2, and the stakes have never been higher than in the Final Shape. If you think you’re tough enough, here’s how to start the Salvation’s Edge raid in Destiny 2.
Where to access the Salvation’s Edge raid in Destiny 2
You can start the Salvation’s Edge raid from the Pale Heart location in the Director. The node is on its own, far to the right, so you’ll need to scroll across to find it. Keep in mind the raid is in “Contest Mode” for the first 48 hours. After that time, the required Light Level will likely lower, although we can’t say by how much. Raids are peak content in Destiny 2, making most other PvE activities look like a cakewalk.
What do I need before I can try the Salvation’s Edge raid?
Before entering the raid, you must meet a few prerequisites. These aren’t visible in-game, but Bungie has mentioned them on social media and in their weekly TWID posts.
First, you must beat the Final Shape campaign. The difficulty doesn’t matter, although a Legend Clear is preferable because of the gear you earn. More on that in a moment.
After beating the Campaign, you must also complete the Wild Card Exotic Quest. I won’t delve into spoilers here, but trust me, the reward for completing this quest is worth it, even if you’re not a raider.
Finally, you must be at least Light Level 1965, and this is where that Legend Clear will come in handy. If you’re tough enough to beat the Campaign on Legend, you get a full set of 1965 Light Level gear without needing to grind for it.
You’ll need to bring your best gear and be prepared to unravel complex mechanics. Make sure you have every Ability, Aspect, and Fragment unlocked and have weapons to suit every situation.
The Brave arsenal still slaps and offers some of the most potent options in the entire game. Failing that, many of the best Exotics from earlier in the year are still top-tier. If you bring everything you have and more into Salvation’s Edge, you may just come back alive.
Good luck, Guardian.
