The Pale Heart holds countless amounts of secrets, and there are still even more to uncover. The end of the Light and Dark saga is not disappointing in terms of the story, but the clues encapsulated inside the Traveler are so much fun to investigate. So let’s put on our detective caps and answer the question: what are the stone cube red triangles and blue circles in Destiny 2 Pale Heart?
Destiny 2 — Stone cube red triangles and blue circles, explained
In The Final Shape, the story of the Light and Dark entities play a pivotal role not only in the story but in the destination you travel to as well. The fact that there are no instanced areas in The Pale Heart for random players, shows just how much Bungie wants you to discover everything yourself.
But if you’ve completed the campaign and are wandering around inside the Traveler, you might have noticed these strange squares scattered around the destination. The squares can either have a circle or a triangle on them, but other than that, no official news has come out about them.
Some players assumed this had to do with a yet-to-be-revealed exotic mission, or maybe a continuation of another exotic like Microcosm. However, a seemingly knowledgeable Reddit user has brought some interesting details to our attention.
According to user dextroseskullfyre, the shapes are Paracausal Geometries, and by destroying all of them, you’ll unlock The First Knife ship.
How to destroy Paracausal Geometries in Destiny 2 Pale Heart
To start destroying these squares and earning The First Knife ship, you must find the Paranormal Activity around the Pale Heart. You’ll know you’ve found it by a Ghost flying around in a circle. Search around the Ghost, and you should see a pool of light that allows you to destroy the squares. Make sure you shoot the squares with circles with a Light weapon and the squares with triangles with a Dark weapon.
Keep doing this around the Traveler, and eventually, you’ll complete the secret Triumph and claim a brand-new ship. If you feel like doing some more exploring between Paracausal Gemotries, you can attempt to grab the iconic Khvostov 7G-0X.
