Men of War 2: How to resupply units with ammunition
While you might enjoy watching your soldiers battle it out endlessly in any RTS, in the case of Men of War 2, there is something that may halt your confrontation with the enemy and even jeopardize your mission: your ammo running out. Yes, I know that getting shot at and becoming injured is worse, but if you can’t defend yourself, are you really alive? Yes? Oh well, let’s continue.
The Men of War franchise is known for how realistic and strategic it is, allowing you to choose what weapon your soldiers use to shoot and even what type of ammo they use. Over time, your reserves will run out, meaning that you will need a fresh new batch of bullets. Thankfully, all you need to do is to summon a weapon Crate as you would any soldier group.
Click on the Crate icon after selecting your battalion at the left side of the screen and right-click on the area where your soldiers are located. You see, the Crate will have an area of effect that will automatically fill your soldier’s reserves with freshly delivered ammo. Just beware that it will take a bit of time before they are ready to resume firing toward the enemy.
You can also choose to summon a Supply Truck which is a bit faster than the Crate and also features a larger area of effect. It is, however, very easily defeated since it does not have any type of hull. So, instead of just using it as an ammo supply vehicle, use it to build supply tents in the field which will provide soldiers with a stream of ammo for them to use.
Be sure to use both your Crates and Supply Trucks as soon as you notice your ammo reserves are running out. You will also need to protect them from enemy fire and hide them so that the enemy won’t discover them, which will be a priority regardless if you are playing in standard or realism mode. Opt for the camouflage options to make them invisible to the enemy, allowing you to keep your ammo reserves without any compromise.
