Tormented Echoes are new types of bosses to fight in Diablo 4 Season 4, but how can you summon them? If you’re looking to take on a new tough challenge, you’ll want to keep your eye out for the option to summon Tormented Echoes.
Diablo 4: How to summon Tormented Echoes
Tormented Echoes are tougher versions of normal summonable bosses, such as The Beast in the Ice or Varshan. They’ll be set to Level 200, making them a tough battle to face. Once Season 4 begins in Diablo 4, you can summon Tormented Echoes by using Stygian Stones at the bosses’ normal summon locations.
Stygian Stones are summon materials that you can collect in The Pit, which is a new endgame dungeon introduced in Season 4. Inside this dungeon, you must slaughter as many enemies as you can within 10 minutes to lead you toward a random boss. You can earn Stygian Stone by defeating the boss at the end of this dungeon.
Once you have enough Stygian Stones, you can take them to any normal boss summon location to summon the boss as a Tormented Echo. You’ll also need that boss’ normal summon materials, but now with Stygian Stones, you can change the boss to the Tormented Echo variant.
The great thing about slaying Tormented Echoes is the fact that all the items they drop are at Item Level 925. You’ll also earn one Resplendent Spark for defeating your first Tormented Echo. Resplendent Sparks are items typically acquired by salvaging Uber Uniques through Blacksmiths, and earning four of them alongside 50 million gold can earn you an Uber Unique at any Alchemist.
Unfortunately, it’s only a reward for defeating your first Tormented Echo, and you won’t receive one every time afterward. Other than this cool new addition to Season 4, what about all the class balance changes?
