Arena Breakout: Infinite is pretty well optimized and runs smoothly on most machines, but PC players are still encountering issues with poor performance and stuttering even with powerful rigs.
Even if you lower all of the settings to the minimum in Arena Breakout: Infinite, you might still encounter some performance issues and stutters because of some frustrating bugs that are affecting the game. Some players have found solutions that remedy these issues, however, so there are thankfully some things that you can try if Arena Breakout isn’t running great on your PC.
How to Improve Performance in Arena Breakout Infinite
Before trying any strange homebrew remedies, though, you should head to the settings menu and make sure that you’re running graphics options that match your rig’s capabilities. Enable an upscaler like DLSS or FSR if you haven’t already, and make sure you’ve set your FPS limit to something stable so your performance isn’t all over the place.
If your framerate is low, then try turning down settings like View Distance, Shadow Quality, and Vegetation Quality. These are some of the heaviest graphical settings in Arena Breakout: Infinite, and you can gain quite a few frames per second without sacrificing too much visual fidelity by lowering them. You could also try lowering your resolution and bumping up the sharpness meter in the Post Processing menu as a last ditch effort, too.
How to Fix Stuttering in Arena Breakout Infinite
Stuttering is plaguing some Arena Breakout players’ experiences, though, and that’s not something that you can fix by changing your graphical settings.
Some players have reported that the game stutters like crazy whenever they move their mouse, which is pretty often in a first-person shooter (duh). Restarting the game tends to fix this issue, but nobody wants to restart their game after every raid.
Some players have reported that this stuttering bug is caused by the polling rate of your mouse not playing nicely with Arena Breakout. To fix this, open the software that you use to control your mouse settings like Razer Synapse or Logitech G Hub. Then, change the polling rate to something lower.
If that doesn’t work for you, then you’ll unfortunately just have to keep restarting your game whenever it starts stuttering. Arena Breakout: Infinite is still in beta after all, so bugs and glitches like this are to be expected. Hopefully, Level Infinite will iron these performance problems out quickly because most people don’t want to return to Tarkov because of the pay-to-win drama.
