The SoulGlad Scorchsand Audition Venue is comprised of several mini zones that feature unique challenges. There are two potential challenges per zone, but you only need to complete one of them to progress through the main story. If you want all the collectibles, though, you’ll have to come back and do everything.

Important note: You need to complete the Scorchsand Vacation side quest in order to unlock the hidden challenges required to access certain chests and rewards.

There are only a handful of chests and Origami Birds located in the main area of the SoulGlad Scorchsand Audition Venue. All of them can be found in the initial lobby area before the challenges begin with the exception of one Origami Bird waiting for you near the northern exit.

Acting Challenge Collectibles

There are four treasure chests and three Origami Birds to find in the Acting Challenge area. You should be able to find them easily as you progress through the zone.

There’s also a Lordly Trashcan to be found at the northern end of this area, but you need to activate a hidden challenge in order for them to spawn. To do so, hop into the Audition Shuttle to choose your challenge arena. Select Dreamplay Fantasia: Acting Challenge. Click on the left part once, the top part twice, and the right part twice.

To please the Trashcan Bandits and avoid a fight, choose these dialogue options.

  • Yeah, curse The Family!
  • (Give over the money and take the goods).

There are four treasure chests and three Origami Birds hidden in the Action Challenge zone. Again, this is a fairly linear area so you shouldn’t have any problems finding them.

There’s also a Warp Trotter hidden in this area, but it’s locked behind the Action Challenge’s hidden challenge. To activate it, click the top mechanism once, the bottom ring twice, and the right knob three times.

Gunfire Trial Collectibles

The Gunfire Trial is one of the largest areas in the SoulGlad Scorchsand Audition Venue, and you’ll be doing most of the chest collecting as Hanu. Use the rocket launcher to destroy enemies, blow up fireworks, and unlock any locked rooms you encounter.

One chest on the B2 floor is locked behind the Gunfire Trial’s hidden challenge. To activate it, click the top mechanism twice, the bottom ring twice, and the right knob three times. This will unlock the B2 floor in the elevator.

Time Trial Collectibles

The Time Trial contains a ton of chests and Origami Birds. There are a few Formidable Foes here, so be prepared for a fight. Keep an eye out for Dream Ticker and Dream Jigsaw puzzles as well.

There’s a chest hidden behind a locked gate on the eastern side of this zone, and you need to activate the Time Trial’s hidden challenge to open it. When selecting the Time Trial, click the bottom ring once, the top mechanism three times, and the right knob twice to activate it. This will also unlock two Dream Jigsaw puzzles accessible via Bubble Pinball launchers that will lead to another secret chest.

Arena 1 Collectibles

There are two treasure chests and two Origami Birds to collect in the Arena 1 zone where you encounter Argenti. To reveal the hidden Precious Treasure, however, you need to activate the hidden challenge. Click the left side once, the middle section twice, and the top mechanism four times. After that, just break all the billboards to complete the challenge and reveal the chest.

Arena 2 Collectibles

The Arena 2 zone only has two treasure chests and a single Origami Bird to collect. The second chest is locked behind the area’s hidden challenge. To activate it, click the bottom side three times, the middle part once, and the top mechanism once. This will get you the Audition Rizzler achievement and add a Fast and Furynuts challenge to the area that will unlock the final hidden chest.

With that, you’ve fully explored the SoulGlad Scorchsand Audition Venue! There are still plenty of other Penacony zones to explore in Honkai Star Rail version 2.2 though. If you need Stellar Jades, then the Penacony Grand Theater should be your next stop for treasure chests.
