How to get Omni Stones in Gatekeeper

Omni Stones are the only currency to be found in Gatekeeper, and they persist through your runs. You will occasionally find them when slaying enemies, and you’ll see how many you have in the bottom right corner. After each run, on the stats panel, you’ll see how many you collected in that run.

These Omni Stones are very rarely dropped from enemies. From my playtime, I’d say they have a rarity of around 1%, although it’s tough to tell if I’ve been lucky or unlucky. They will drop from enemies both in the Normal mode and Arena mode, although I only found one in Arena mode, so perhaps they’re rarer there.

To see how many Omni Stones you currently, have, visit the Emporium, where they’ll be shown at the top.

The best way to get Omni Stones, I imagined would be through the arena, as there’s a greater concentration of enemies. However, I found so many more Omni Stones when playing Normal mode, so you’ll have to play like normal and try to get as far as you can.

How to spend Omni Stones in Gatekeeper

There are two things you’ll want to spend your Omni Stones on in Gatekeeper – Artifacts and the Dawnbreaker.

If you visit the Emporium, you’ll find sets of Artifacts. Everyone starts the game with five Artifact sets active, but the rest will need to be unlocked. Each artifact set will have its unlock requirements listed, and they’re all tied to an achievement.

So as you complete achievements and unlock Artifact sets, you’ll be able to play with more power-ups in your runs. Before you can use them, however, you must pay for them. That’s where Omni Stones come in.

Each Artifact in every set costs Omni Stones. This allows you to only purchase the ones you want, to have a higher chance of getting Artifacts that are better suited for your build.

You can also spend Omni Stones to activate the Dawnbreaker. This structure is found in the Runewood map on Aurora, the first planet you’ll start in. You’ll find it to the north, and it costs 10 Omni Stones. In doing this, you’ll unlock Bastion.

With all the knowledge you need about Omni Stones, you can go forth and unlock all the Artifacts needed for the perfect build.
