While Hades 2 is packed with new items, like all the Wool there is to farm, it also has brought over a lot of stuff from the first game. For anyone in the know, you probably understand how important Nectar can be. For newcomers, this guide will cover how to nectar and who to give it to in Hades 2. So listen up.Â
Hades 2: How to get Nectar and who to give it to guide
The most common way to get Nectar in Hades 2 is by going through certain doors during each run. This a is common resource like Silver, so you’ll run into a lot of these doors early on. Another way is to buy the Nectar at the Wretched Broker. This option at the moment seems to be done once per cycle, so if you can’t buy it, simply look for doors with the Nectar icon.
Who to gift the Nectar to?
Anyone who’s played the first Hades knows where this is going. The Nectar can be gifted to the many Gods in Hades 2. To give a God Nectar, go up to them and interact with the God. The interaction gives you the option to gift the Nectar. When you do, you’ll get a Keepsake from that specific God. Keepsakes are very important in a game like Hades 2. They act as buffs or bonuses. You don’t get them during your runs and then can’t be bought. The only way to get Keepsakes at the moment is to gift Nectar to a God.
Each God will give you something different. For example, if you gift Nectar to Oddysseus, you’ll get your health back at 51 points. If you give him another Nectar, the points go up to 76. It also seems each God can be given Nectar at least three times. Every time you give it to a God, the buffs increase. Doing this often can compliment whatever build you’re going for during that run.
The sleeping God Hypnos can also be given the Nectar — if you know how to wake him up.
