Hades 2 is finally out in early access, smashing everyone’s expectations out of the park. There are many new and returning characters, some of which might be familiar to any Greek mythology lovers. So let’s pick out the best outfit and take a look at the best Arachne Dress in Hades 2.

When I first found Arachne, I was surprised at how small she was to the point where I almost couldn’t find where she was. But once you spot her and start talking, she’ll tell you that you should take one of her Dresses as a precaution against the foes you may face.

The Dresses aren’t just for show (even though the color changes are really cool), as choosing one of her Silken Fineries grants you two nice bonuses. One of them is always going to be an amount of armor, but the other buff is dependent on the dress you choose.

When it comes to the early game strats for Hades 2, I chose to go with the Azure Dress, giving you +40 armor and restoring +5 Magick every second. The Azure Dress helps greatly when it comes to managing your Magick early on when you have very little. This allows you to regain your Omega abilities faster, allowing for better damage overall.

A few other notable mentions that might help you in your overall journey through Hades 2 are the Onyx Dress and Lavender Dress. The Onyx Dress has great armor and immediately gives you one Fate Fabric simply by choosing it. On the other hand, the Lavender Dress gives alright armor but makes up for it by allowing you to channel Omega moves 40% faster.

All Arachne Dresses in Hades 2

Arachne gives you the option of choosing between three dresses when you talk to her. That however is not the maximum number of dresses she has. So far we’ve found a total of six Dresses in Hades 2 early access. We’ll update this list if more are added with subsequent updates, but for now, take a look at all the Dresses Arachne offers in Hades 2:

  • Lavender Dress || +30 Armor, Channel +40% faster
  • Emerald Dress || +50 Armor, Restore 2 Health whenever you exit a location
  • Azure Dress || +40 Armor, Restore 5 Magick every 1 second
  • Scarlet Dress || +10 Armor, Casts deal +100% damage
  • Onyx Dress || +60 Armor, +1 Fate Fabric
  • Moonlight Dress || +20 Armor, +5 Gold Crowns whenever you exit a location

How to find Arachne in Hades 2

There are a lot of content developers Supergiant Games has planned to release in the future, but the game we have now is nothing to scoff at. A lot of the gameplay systems from Hades 1 have made their way into Hades 2 (albeit with new twists). One of these is the chance encounters you can make during your runs to face the Titan of Time.

Occasionally, you’ll find a symbol of two hands with a dialogue box above them. This is one of these encounters, where you would find people such as Sisyphus, Euridice, and Patroclus in Hades 1. However, in Hades 2 you have a chance to find the legendary weaver-turned-spider Arachne in Erebus.

Once you find her, she’ll have the choice of which Dress you would like to choose. Some of them might be better later down the overall timeline of the game, but I was able to breeze past all of Erebus and grab some sweet Cinder as well.
