At the start of Gray Zone Warfare, you’ll have to make the tough decision of choosing a faction. This guide aims to help you decide as it will explain which faction should you choose in Gray Zone Warfare and why.
All Factions in Gray Zone Warfare
Before we get into which faction you should choose in Gray Zone Warfare, it’s important to know the difference between the three. The three available factions are Lamang Recovery Initiatives, Mithras Security Systems, and Crimson Shield International. The only major difference between the factions is lore. Below is a brief overview of each.
- Lamang Recovery Initiatives: Led by a tech billionaire and touts itself as a philanthropic organization. They want to help potential survivors in Lamang after the UN abandoned the island.
- Mithras Security Systems: This faction is a private military company that is run by soldiers. It is a strict and skilled group inspired by the Roman Legion system.
- Crimson Shield International: Similar to MSC, this faction is a private military company. They don’t focus too much on professionalism and have a history of “collateral damage” from previous operations. Nobody denies their ability to get the job done.
Which faction should you choose in Gray Zone Warfare?
The faction you choose depends on whether you plan on playing with friends or not. If you plan on playing with your friends, it’s essential that you pick the same faction they choose. This is because you’re only allowed to play online with other players in the same faction.
If you plan on playing Gray Zone Warfare solo, then the faction you choose doesn’t matter and is really up to you. I recommend picking the faction you believe to have the coolest lore, which in my opinion is the Lamang Recovery Initiatives.
If you made a mistake and chose the wrong faction, there is some good news. As of recently, you can now change factions in Gray Zone Warfare. Previously you couldn’t, so this recent update is incredibly helpful. To learn how to change factions, head over to our dedicated guide on the topic.
