Who are Ves and Stan in Sand Land?

During your travels in Sand Land, you will come across Spino. This almost desolate town which has seen far better days – even for Sand Land standards – will become your base of operations. How? That’s a great question! You see, by encountering NPCs that need assistance throughout Sand Land’s regions, you can invite them to join you and the rest of the gang to Spino. There, they will be able to find a place to rest, but some of them will set up various types of shops.

In the case of Ves and Stan, these are two blacksmith siblings from Talbo who you will need to recruit to set up a Workshop in Spino. There, you will be able to process raw materials and convert them to valuable items for Vehicle building and upgrading, Raptor Steel being one of them. Mayor Tor is the one who points in their direction given your need for said item, originally telling you to find their father, who has unfortunately passed away.

Thankfully, both siblings have learned the art of blacksmithing. Unfortunately, you will only get to recruit one of them. So, who should you pick and does the decision impact the game in any way?

Who should you invite to Spino: Ves or Stan?

Before you get to decide who should you invite to Spino, both Ves and Stan will have a competition to determine who is the better blacksmith suited for the job by making Raptor Steel. You will find out that, while Ves is very enthusiastic about leaving Talbo and joining you in Spino, Stan is a much better blacksmith from the get-go.

However, Stan will give Ves two more chances to improve her skills by giving her advice on how to make the perfect Raptor Steel ingot. Eventually, Ves can craft a perfect Raptor Steel ingot, even surpassing the one that her brother made.

Once the competition is over, the decision on who to invite to Spino will be entirely yours to make. Who should you pick? Well, ultimately, the choice does not matter. Whether you chose Ves or Stan, they will both set up a Workshop in Spino and will be able to craft the same items at the same price and item requirement.

However, if you want to stick to the narrative, you are better off picking Ves. While she might not have as much experience as her brother, she was the one who was willing to leave Talbo and join you in Spino – contrary to Stan who initially refused. Moreover, if you chose Stan, Ves will become disappointed, but if you chose Ves, Stan will be supportive toward her sister leaving Talbo, making it the choice that makes the most sense storywise.
