Mods in games can bring new elements, and in many cases, they can enhance the title. For the latest viral sensation Content Warning, mods just add on to the fun. While filming something terrifying, consider these mods in Content Warning that have been hailed as the best by the community.
Content Warning: Best mods
The following mods aren’t game-breaking after testing them. A couple of them made my sessions even more scary based on what they can do. To take your game to new heights, you should try out the following mods.
MoreCustomization
The name of the game of Content Warning is the ability to change things based on what you like. The MoreCustomiation mod adds more options to customize such as adding more options to change your face. You get around a 128-character limit for the face customization which can make you even more unique. Additionally, the mod also allows the face size to change. However, for it to work, the mod makers say all players must have this mod installed.
Flashcard
Flashcard allows for customization of the in-game camera. For recording, you get more space. Natively, there are around 90 minutes, but with the mod installed the number goes up to 120 minutes. The more recording space you have, the more content you can make. The one thing to note is that the Flashcard mod is still in its early stages, so expect more features to spring up overtime.
Virality
I can see Virality becoming a fan favorite for a few reasons. First, the game only allows four players at the base level. But with 753.network mod, that number jumps to about 128 players. Now, the Virality mod has increased the lobby size again to 200. Personally, adding more than four players seems like it may defeat the purpose of the game. But with more players, the scary moment might become funny which can also help make content. This mod also has quality-of-life features such as allowing you to join late without the game restarting, and the ability to join from Steam.
UI Tweaks
The UI of Content Warning adds more immersion, so I don’t have any problem with it. However, the UI Tweaks mod can make it even better. With it, you can turn off the UI and disable the circular vignette effect. Those two attributes make the game far scarier, so turning them off might take away some of the fear factor. But what some may argue is that taking that out completely might add more immersion, while also making the game overall easier to look at with out so much screen clutter.
Skip the Intro
Content Warning’s intro is fun the first few times, but then it becomes annoying — very annoying. When I found out there’s a mod called Skip the Intro that does exactly what it says, it became the first mod I installed. Right after you join a game, you’ll just jump right into it without seeing that intro for the millionth time. It’s a simple mod, but a helpful one that I would heavily recommend installing.
Content Warning is off to a great start, however, some issues appear. Failed to Extract video error seems to be giving players a headache. Thankfully, we got an easy-to-follow guide to get that video posted.
