Diablo 4: How to Install and join the Season 4 PTR

Yes, you’ve read that right, you need to install it. Whether you have purchased the game during its original run or you are entering the world of Sanctuary thanks to Game Pass, every Diablo 4 player will be able to enter the new Public Test Realm (PTR) to experience some of the many features that will come with the upcoming Diablo 4 Season 4 releasing on May. For the first time for Diablo 4, players will get to try and produce valuable feedback for Blizzard through the PTR that will last from April 2 to April 9, 2024. To do so, be sure to follow the steps below:

• Open up your Battle.net client and select Diablo 4 from your Games list.
• Click the selector above the Play button and select “Public Test Realm”.
• You will be prompted to install the PTR client. Do so and then click Play when the download finishes.
• After launching the game, pick any of the available Test Servers to begin your run.
• Create a new character as you would for any new season and enjoy what Season 4 has to offer.

Since you will have to create a Battle.net account to be able to play Diablo 4 in the first play independently of the launcher you use to play it, every single player will be able to try out Season 4’s content and mechanics.

These include a lot of additions to Itemization – including the Tempering system-, a revamped Helltide experience, The Pit of Artificers, and many more features. You will also get to provide feedback to Blizzard by posting in the Diablo 4 forums or using the PTR in-game feedback tool.
