What is Totally Advanced Resurgence in Warzone?

When I think of April Fool’s Day, I think about some innocent pranks and false announcements by big companies. This year’s no different and we have seen gems such as the Virtual Boy Pro or even the Limited Floppy Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 – including almost 100,000 diskettes. However, there are some games like Warzone that take the concept and transform it into a unique gameplay experience. That is where the Totally Advanced Resurgence playlist enters the equation.

This mode plays exactly like a normal Resurgence match, with the main difference that the laws of physics are busted and everyone will be hopping around like there is no tomorrow. This mode will last for April Fool’s Day and takes place on the Vondel map. If you have the chance, log in and attempt to understand the absurdity of the mode with a smile on your face.

Warzone: All “Wacky” modifiers and changes in Totally Advanced Resurgence

While the name would suggest it, Totally Advanced Resurgence does not feature the infamous Call of Duty “Advanced” movement at all – one could suggest that the devs are trolling their audience and themselves with the naming of this playlist. The modifiers are sillier than that and will transform a regular Resurgence match into a game of Frog Bog – that’s an Atari game reference, and yes, I’m old. Here are all the modifiers in the Totally Advanced Resurgence playlist in Warzone:

  • Fall Damage is completely disabled. Yes, you can jump yourself from the aircraft and stump your face to the ground and you won’t suffer a scratch.
  • High Jump: You will jump higher than the height of a regularly sized building. You will see all players jumping across the map, so if you are proficient with a sniper rifle, this is your chance.
  • The 40 Meter Slide. Just like the name implies, you will be able to slide for a much longer distance than normal.
  • The Long Dive. Similar to the slide, you will be able to dive like any actor would appear to in any of your favorite movies.
  • Overall movement speed boost:
    • Increased parachute maneuverability.
    • Increased Down movement speed. Whenever you are Down, drag yourself like a lightning bolt to the nearest ally so they can revive you.
    • Swimming speed boost.
  • Specialist Bonus granted for all players.
  • Keep your loadout. This one is especially useful if you become the less reliable player on the team. Despite your death, you will be able to use your previously acquired weapons in your new life.

So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and jump to a new all-time high and defeat your similarly physics-defying opponent sin Totally Advanced Resurgence in Warzone while April Fool’s still lasts. And no, it isn’t an April Fool’s joke.
