In Dragon’s Dogma 2, players must complete all of the Sphinx riddles to get the Eternal Wakestone. After answering all of the Sphinx riddles correctly, the Sphinx will drop a hefty amount of gold and the Key of Sagacity.

With the Key of Sagacity in hand, open the coffin behind her, and inside, you will find the Eternal Wakeston. Walk up to it to collect it and officially add it to your inventory. Voila—it is now yours to keep.

All Sphinx Riddle solutions in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Solving all Sphinx riddles sounds easy enough, but it’s quite time-consuming. Be prepared to go on treasure hunts and look for specific items or specific pawns/companions. Here are all the answers to the Sphinx Riddles in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

  • Riddle of Eyes: Sealing Phial
  • Riddle of Madness: Any character with high affinity with you (glowing red cheeks when speaking with them).
  • Riddle of Wisdom: Any pawn with a Sphinx Moniker.
  • Riddle of Conviction: Any item you want.
  • Riddle of Rumination: Finders Token (wherever you found your first Seekers Token).
  • Riddle of Reunion: Completes automatically when starting the second set of riddles.
  • Riddle of Contest: Defeat the guard the Sphinx summons.
  • Riddle of Differentiation: Bring one of the brothers. Dante is on the Vermund side of the Checkpoint Rest Border and Vergil is on the Battahl side.
  • Riddle of Recollection: Tell the Sphinx how many riddles you have answered so far.
  • Riddle of Futility: Bring vase to Mauritis in Bakbattahl.
  • The Final Riddle: Fight the Sphinx and use Unmaking arrow to prevent her from flying away.

How to use the Eternal Wakestone in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Like standard Wakestones, the Eternal Wakestone can revive fallen NPCs and allies. What makes it unique, though, is that it can counter the Dragonsplague if one of your pawns gets too sick with it.

If your pawn gets the Dragonsplague and it becomes too bad to handle, your pawn will turn into a dragon and kill everyone in sight. If you have the Eternal Wakestone, you can use it to prevent the terrible Dragonsplague from ruining your playthrough. I haven’t tried this out for myself, but according to players on Reddit, it is the best use for the Eternal Wakestone.

If you want to learn about curing the Dragonsplague before it gets too bad to the point of using the Eternal Wakestone, check out our guide here.
