Miasmite is one of those rare materials in Dragon’s Dogma 2 that is required for enhancing equipment, so how can you get some? Since I struggled to find this myself, here’s where you can collect Miasmite.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Where to find Miasmite
Miasmite is an uncommon mineral required for upgrading certain weapons and armor. But where can you find some? You can get Miasmite in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by defeating phantoms. If you ever travel around the open world at night, you may come across enemies that only show themselves when the moon is high.
Skeletons are one of them, but you’ll also often see phantoms. These are white, ghostly whisps that cackle maniacly as they try to scare you. They’re not that strong, so it’s not too difficult to get rid of them, so don’t worry about needing to cling and climb them like other enemies.
I often use fire or lightning spells to hurt them, and upon defeat, they’ll drop a Miasmite. There are a few different equipment items that have required this material to enhance them through armories or weaponry shops, so it’s good to collect as much Miasmite as you can.
Where to farm Miasmite
Although you can find phantoms in the open world, I recently scavenged an area with a dozen or so phantoms which gave me plenty of Miasmite. Northeast of the Checkpoint Town and Northwest of Harve you’ll find the Ancient Battleground. I found myself exploring a cave called Worldsend Cavern that had a plethora of phantoms waiting for me.
Even when opening chests or trying to grab items on pedestals, these phantoms would appear and frighten my Arisen and the rest of my Pawns, but I got a ton of Miasmite from them. There was also a phantasm with them, which is an upgraded version of a phantom that dropped Astracite, another material used for enhancement.
If you’re going to search for more enhancement materials, you’ll need to fight a lot more enemies than just phantoms. Fighting enemies requires you to know about all enemy weaknesses as well.
