How to complete all Midas Presents: Floor is Lava quests in Fortnite

So shiny, but so deadly.

A classic and much-loved game mode is finally returning to Fortnite in Chapter 5, Season 2. It’s all about staying ahead of the flood as you try to complete all of the quests in Midas Presents: Floor is Lava in Fortnite. A river of gold slowly envelops the land as you fight against enemies and a beautiful death.

How to complete all the quests in Fortnite

The list is long, and most of the quests are pretty simple. However, a number of them require some explaining.

Build structured directly over lava (25)

Simply build 25 different structure pieces over the slowly rising lava to complete this quest.

Use a Harpoon Gun to pull a player into lava

You’re going to have to be close to the dreaded golden lava for this one. Using the Harpoon, snag a player and pull them into the lava. I would recommend being on a structure already over the lava to make it easier.

Eliminate players before touching lava (10)

You will inevitably rack up these required ten kills over your playtime. Just make sure you get them in before you touch Midas’ rising lava in Fortnite.

Use Crash Pad Jrs. or Balloons (10)

You need to use ten of the crash pads or balloons in Midas Presents: Floor is Lava event mode for this quest.

Survive storm circles (10)

Play the game as you normally would, outlasting the ever-closing circles ten times.

Damage players with Snipers or DMRs (750)

A basic quest for the Midas Presents: Floor is Lava mode. Simply grab a DMR or Sniper and start spraying.

Use bandages or small shield potions (3)

You should be doing this anyway.

Visit named locations (5)

As long as you don’t land in the same spot every time, you can easily visit 5 Fortnite locations in five games.

Collect Legendary or Mythic Items (50)

Collecting 50 Legendary or Mythic items isn’t the easiest task in the world. I would suggest taking on the bosses present in this season of Fortnite. Their locations also seem to have a higher drop rate for Legendary weapons.

Destroy player-built structures (30)

See a structure? Shoot it. Thats an easy quest under your belt in the Floor is Lava game mode.

Hit players with an Assault Rifle, Shotgun, and SMG in a single match

You don’t have to hit the same player with each of the different weapons. If you keep them all in your inventory every match, this quest shouldn’t be too hard to complete.

Collect Olympian Powers in different matches (3)

Sometimes you can be lucky enough to pick these up from defeated players. However, the surest way to complete this quest in the Midas Presents: Floor is Lava game mode is to head to the gods directly. By defeating them, you can take their power for yourself.

Restore health or gain shields (250)

Get shot, restore health and shields. Simple.

Gain elevation (150)

As the lake of gold slowly rises from the volcanoes around the Midas Presents game mode, you will have to climb higher and higher. This challenge will be inevitably completed as you play the game.

Hit airborne players (5)

As other players use the balloons and crash pads, try to hit them. Using a Sniper or DMR is the easiest way to nail those shots.

Land in the water and reach 25 players remaining

This two-part challenge will require you to first get airborne using a Crash Pad, Balloon, or something similar and land in the water. You will also need to be among the final 25 players remaining in Midas Presents: Floor is Lava. I feel that this challenge is going to be a matter of skill rather than luck.

Deal damage with the thunderbolt of Zeus (5000)

The Thunderbolt of Zeus can be picked up from chests all around the map. Using the Thunderbolt, deliver 5000 damage points to players. This is a lot, but stay consistent and keep it equipped and you’ll soon get through it.

Travel distance in the air after landing from the Battle Bus (1000)

This distance doesn’t include the distance travelled from the Battle Bus to the ground. Once you’re on the ground, you need to find ways to get airborne. I would suggest the Balloons, Crash Pads, and vehicles around the map to launch yourself as far as possible.

Another quick way to make the distance and complete the Floor is Lava guest is to pick up the Wings of Icarus found in chests around the map. Just beware of that lava.

Outlast Players (100)

I mean, personally, I would complete this in one match because I get nothing but wins. However, you may need to complete a few rounds of Midas Presents: Floor is Lava to survive longer than 100 players.

Rewards for completing quests in Midas Presents: Floor is Lava

The rewards for completing the quests in Midas Presents: Floor is Lava are split into three. You will have to complete a number of the quests to unlock them.
