The Gongaga region is hands down the most complex level to navigate in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, making it extremely challenging to finish all World Intel activities. This guide will walk you through how to reach Gongaga Protorelic 4 in FF7 Rebirth.
FF7 Rebirth: How to reach Gongaga Protorelic 4
At first glance, you may think you can reach Gongaga Protorelic 4 by starting at the Gongaga Airstrip. However, this is not the case. Instead, you want to start from Activation Intel 4: Gongaga Ruins Tower (shown in the image below).
After fast traveling to the Gongaga Ruins Tower, you’ll notice a doorway leading into the broken-down ruins. It is located to the right, immediately after spawning in this location
Head through the door and you’ll encounter another doorway directly in front of you. Don’t go through it. Instead, take a left and continue straight until you notice another doorway on the right-hand side.
Progress through this doorway, where you will encounter a staircase leading down into a giant cave-like structure. Here is where you should be on the map:
Within this cave, you’ll find a mushroom that will catapult you and your Chocobo right next to Gongaga Protorelic 4. You have now officially reached it and can complete the Phenomenon Intel of the Gongaga region!
How to complete Gongaga Protorelics in FF7 Rebirth
Each Gongaga Protorelic puts you into Chadley’s Combat Simulator to fight against waves of enemies. Defeating all Gongaga Protorelics comes down to being prepared before activating the terminal and entering the fight.
You can do this by ensuring you have healing items, picking your best party members, and using Assess on the enemies to understand their weaknesses. Each Gongaga Protorelic consists of only three waves of enemies, so it’s not like you’ll spend a long time inside the Combat Simulator.
