Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Warbond is now available, adding new items, cosmetics, and weapons. It also adds a new booster called “Localization Confusion.”
The brief description the game gives the Localization Confusion booster can be confusing, but we are here to clarify. Here is what the Localization Confusion booster does in Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2: What does the Localization Confusion Booster do?
The in-game description of the Localization Confusion booster is as follows: “Increases the time between enemy encounters.” That doesn’t make much sense since enemies are constantly spawning on the map, so let us simplify. The Localization Confusion booster increases the time for bugs to do a breach or Automatons to do a bot drop.
For example, say you’re doing an eradication mission on a high difficulty level, and tons of Automaton ships are dropping down reinforcements. The Localization Confusion booster will increase the time for Automatons to call in reinforcements. The same goes for Bug breaches. In other words, it pretty much reduces the number of enemies called into battle.
With that in mind, it’s safe to say that the Localization Confusion booster is one of the best options in the game. It’ll make higher-difficulty missions more manageable for you and your teammates, as you’ll have to deal with fewer bug breaches and bot drops throughout the match.
How to unlock the Localization Confusion Booster in Helldivers 2
The Localization Confusion booster will cost you 18 Medals to unlock in the Cutting Edge warbond. Keep in mind that the Cutting Edge warbond is a Premium Warbond, meaning you’ll either have to purchase it yourself or save up enough Super Credits to buy it in-game.
To unlock the Cutting Edge Warbond, you will need 1,000 Super Credits. You can collect this amount by finding Super Credits around the battlefield at key points of interest, or you can purchase it with real-world money.
Going with the latter will cost you $9.99 for 1,000 Super Credits, which you can buy in-game under the Super Credits tab in the Acquisition Center.
