Does Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have Ultimate Weapons? Answered

Where are the Ultimate Weapons?

If you’re a massive fan of the original Final Fantasy 7, you may be wondering if there are Ultimate Weapons in FF7 Rebirth. This guide has the answer for you.

Are there Ultimate Weapons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

Simply put, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth does not have Ultimate Weapons. The reason behind this is that the events of FF7 Rebirth take place before the part of the original game where Ultimate Weapons become available. In other words, there is a good chance that we will see Ultimate Weapons in the final entry of the remake trilogy.

Ultimate Weapons’ availability in the third entry of the FF7 remake is just my prediction, though. It is not guaranteed, so take that information with a grain of salt.

Best weapon for each character in FF7 Rebirth

While the game doesn’t have “Ultimate Weapons” in the literal sense, it does have very powerful weapons. Each character can unlock and upgrade seven different weapons, with one standing out as the best for that specific character.

Here are the best weapons for each character in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

  • Cloud: Igneous Saber
  • Barrett: Battle Cry
  • Tifa: Kaiser Knuckles
  • Aerith: Ceremonial Staff
  • Red XIII: Golden Collar
  • Yuffie: Crystalline Cross
  • Cait Sith: Golden Megaphone

The weapons mentioned are my personal picks for the best weapons for each character. They all have a high Attack stat without sacrificing much in the Magic Attack department.

The good news is that most of the weapons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth can be found on the game’s main path and just by progressing through the story. If you find a purple chest, you’ll know you’re coming up on a new weapon.

It’s a shame that we didn’t get to see Ultimate Weapons in FF7 Rebirth, such as Tifa’s “Premium Heart” or Barrett’s “Missing Score,” but at least there are still ways to get extremely powerful in the game. For example, our best Cloud build guide will make you unstoppable.
