Players can find Chadley hanging out in the main village of Cosmo Canyon, where he is offering a new assignment called Biological Intel: That’s the Smell. To unlock this intel, players must assess 15 enemies in the Cosmo Canyon region, defeat the classified foe in the Gongaga region, and obtain Enemy Skill Materia.

How to make enemies respawn in Nibel

If you’re worried that you may have missed out on some enemies in the Cosmo Canyon region side quests, don’t worry. There are more than just 15 enemies in Cosmo Canyon, meaning you’ll most likely still be able to unlock Biological Intel: That’s the Smell.

Enemies outside of the main quest and side quests will respawn. For example, the enemies you find while casually exploring the Cosmo Canyon region will respawn. The best way to have them respawn is to fast travel out of the region and back to Cosmo Canyon.

Remember, you must have an Assess Materia equipped to assess an enemy in FF7 Rebirth. While this Materia was handed to the player at the start of the game, you may have sold it. You can purchase Assess Materia from vendors or vending machines around the game world.
