Getting one up on your opponents in any FPS is all about skill, good luck, and cunning. There is no better way to humiliate your opponent in MW3 than performing a finishing move on them. Here are some of the best and how to do them.
How to perform a finishing move in MW3
Performing a finishing move in Modern Warfare 3 is usually a case of being in the right place at the right time. You will need to be positioned behind your enemy for the prompt to appear. Once you have gotten behind your opponent, the prompt to perform a finishing move will pop up in MW3. On PC the button is V, on Xbox and PlayStation you can perform it with R3.
You need to be on the ball when killing an opponent this way. You can only do this when their back is to you, and you haven’t been seen. Camping enemies or enemies laid down are the best option.
However, it is also worth noting that finishing moves take a little time. You can still be killed while the long animation is going on. Sometimes the kill is worth it though, especially if you’re about to get the kill cam.
The best finishers in MW3
There are tons of finishing moves to choose from in Modern Warfare 3, ranging from the basic ones to some really rather silly ones. Of course, the best finishing moves in MW3 are totally down to preference, but these are my favorites.
- LMG Go Brrrrrrrrrrrr – This one can be unlocked in the Season 2 Battle Pass. I love it because of its sheer brutality. A quick tap on the shoulder before emptying a whole clip into the midriff of your unwitting opponent.
- Santa’s Right Hand – Perhaps I am a child for enjoying this one as much as I do. This MW3 finishing move summons one of Santa’s little helpers who uses their little height to punch your opponent right in the groin. To death. You can get this via the seasonal Santas Slayground pack.
- Get Wrecked – This one is only available via the Endowment Warrior Pack. Nothing schools your opponent than an open-palmed slap to the face.
- Death Summons – Not for the fainthearted, this finishing move levitates your opponent before breaking all their limbs in MW3. It is available via the Witchcraft bundle.
- Muay Bueno – Punch and kick your opponent to death when you perform this finishing move available through the MW3 Season One Battle Pass.
How to change your finishing move in Modern Warfare 3
Changing up your finishing move in MW3 means you can customize your enemy’s demise. You need to head into the Operators tab on your multiplayer screen. Here, above the headshots of all the available operators you can select the finishing moves menu.
