Can you fix the Cruise Missile killstreak in MW3?

It seems that MW3 has been hit with another issue. This time it’s impacting large portions of the shooter like the Zombies mode. Another area that has been affected is the killstreaks, particularly the Cruise Missile.

Players have been reporting it’s flat-out not working at all. But with this guide, we will explore if you can fix the Cruise Missile killstreak in MW3.

MW3: Can I fix the Cruise Missile killstreak?

The problem with the Cruise Missile is that when players launch it into the air, they can’t control the weapon like normal. The bug also stops them from boosting. There have been a few temporary fixes like switching the key binds or restarting the game itself. On the other hand, those fixes have worked for a small group of players and aren’t guaranteed. I wouldn’t recommend doing any of them. As of right now, there’s no permanent fix for the Cruise Missile. I would expect one to come later as Activision is right now putting out fires on their servers. One could also assume that the Cruise Missile glitch seems to be a symptom of the servers acting up earlier.

The only thing you can do right now is not use the Cruise Missile and wait for an update about it. 

How bad is this problem?

Imagine you’re about to take out a cluster of enemies all cornered in a small area. You’re perfectly situated to deal with them. When you launch the missile and try to aim, the weapon misses, and nothing happens. This can be super annoying especially if you’re playing well or Ranked. In my opinion and from being a big fan of the killstreak, it’s important in most game modes. You can outright pull the game in your favor with a single strike from the killstreak. So when it’s not working as intended, that can make things tougher. It’s also equally frustrating when there’s no fix as it’s happening, which forces you to deal with it. 

Thankfully, as of now, it seems to be the only one impacted by the widespread issues in MW3. As mentioned, try switching killstreaks around to get your rhythm back.
