A new error has surprised Call of Duty players today, but it is far from new. Here is how to fix the “Failed to request daily login” Minot Hawthorne bug in Modern Warfare 3.
What is the Minot Hawthorne bug in Modern Warfare 3?
The Minot Hawthorne bug is back to terrorize Call of Duty players, but now that it has happened amid Season 2, many suffer the same as beta players did back in the day. This error reads “Failed to request daily login” and it affects quite a lot of things. Many players report that this error pops out whenever they attempt to matchmake in Multiplayer, access a Zombies run, or even try to play a round of Battle Royale.
In my case, it appeared when I attempted to play Zombies mode. This suggests there is an issue with the servers, therefore affecting all types of online functionality. However, it is particularly worrisome that this also affects player ranks by completely resetting them back to level 1. As reported back in the day, this is a developer issue related to the backend — and quite an annoying one.
Can you fix the Minot Hawthorne bug in Modern Warfare 3?
Unfortunately, there is no way to fix the Minot Hawthorne bug as it is related straight to server or backend issues. It is entirely up to Sledgehammer Games and Activision to fix this issue as soon as possible so that players may again enjoy Modern Warfare 3’s online modes and have their ranks restored completely. All we can do now is pressure them to deliver and wait for a fix to happen and for the servers to get back to normal.

The waiting game might not be the ideal solution for this problem, but it is the only way due to the nature of the error itself. Hopefully, the developers will clear things up soon enough so players can get back to shooting each other in the face with no issues whatsoever.
