Diving through the Realms in Nightingale is one of the main attractions of the game, so learning how to make Realm Cards is rather integral to your progress. Here’s how to make the different Realm Cards in Nightingale.
Making Paper and Ink in Nightingale
In Nightingale, you need both Paper and Ink to make Realm Cards over at the Enchanter’s Focus.
Paper can be made at the Saw Mill and Ink can be made at the Mortar Station, named Alchemical Ink when you go to make it. Both of these stations can be bought from the Essence Trader in your Abeyance Realm for 55 Essence Dust each. Also, while you’re there, make sure to purchase the Enchanter’s Focus and the rest of the Refinement and Simple facilities.
Build these new facilities, and then you can begin making what you need.
Paper only requires two Wood Bundles to make at the Saw Table, and it provides 12 Paper.
Making Alchemical Ink has another couple of steps to it, however. To make it in the Simple Mortar Station, you need one Glass and one Refined Pigment. You can make the Refined Pigment there at the Mortar Station, provided you have either two Mushrooms, Berries, or Flowers of any sort. This process will net you with one Refined Pigment.
Then, you’ll need Glass. And to make Glass, you need the Simple Mortar Station. To make Glass, you need Gems. These will spawn as geodes on rocky outcrops. Search around your base with a Simple Pick to find what looks like crystal rock deposits, which should be Quartz.
Take this Glass back to the Smelter where two Gems will smelt to make one Glass.
Finally, take the Glass and Refined Pigment back to the Mortar Station to make Ink, which will give you 12 doses.
Make sure you have both Paper and Ink to hand before the next step.

Making Realm Cards in Nightingale
Once the Enchanter’s Focus is built in Nightingale, you can use Paper, Ink, and Essence Dust to make Realm Cards, both Major, Minor, and Biome. Only the Abeyance Card and Biome Cards don’t require Essence Dust.
If you’re lacking in Essence Dust, simply go outside, pick up Plant Fibre, Sticks, and Stones, and Extract them from your inventory. You only need a little, so this will be fine.
The game won’t explicitly state which Card is which, so you’ll need to use your reasoning. If the card has an effect, such as buffing or debuffing, then it’s a Minor Realm Card. The Swamp, Desert, and Forest Cards are the only Biome Cards, meaning the rest are Major Realm Cards.
Use these Cards at a Portal or the Realmic Transmuter to open up new realms or change your current one. You will need to make new cards every time you use one.
Now that you know how to make Realm Cards in Nightingale, why don’t you find out if there are any cheats?
