Baldur’s Gate 3 player realized you can poison a keg in the Underdark

You can do WHAT?

Just when you thought you knew everything about this game, you’re proven wrong. One Baldur’s Gate 3 player realized that you can poison a keg in the Underdark, and then posted about it on Reddit.

Other players seem to agree that this is quite a rare find, and almost no one thought this was possible. The more you know!

You can poison a keg in the Underdark to get rid of enemies in Baldur’s Gate 3

You may have known about poisoning the Goblin Camp in Act 1, but did you know you can poison another group of enemies in Act 2? In a post on the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, this player realized that you can poison another keg in the Underdark. Specifically, in Grymforge and for poisoning Ward Magmar and Ward Pistle.

These two are bullying Skickpit, but instead of just killing them and alarming everyone, you can poison their drinking keg. If you interact with the keg and add some Basic Poison to it (just make sure you’re hidden), you can wait until Skickpit fills the Ward’s drinks. Soon after, they’ll drop dead and this makes it a lot easier to deal with them instead of initiating combat.

It’s wild that although BG3 has been out for half a year, players are still finding secrets and new ways to approach situations. Most players knew about poisoning the Goblin Camp, but I didn’t even know that there were more kegs. There are probably others we’ve yet to find, too.

Some players in the replies to this post are commending Larian Studios for giving such attention to details in BG3. Others noted that this kind of feature reminds them of the Hitman series where you assassinate people in creative ways. If you want to hear about another cool thing in BG3, one player collected all Divinity: Original Sin 2 Easter Egg portraits!
