Every way to clean off blood and dirt in Baldur’s Gate 3

After fighting dozens of enemies and exploring murky caves, you and your party are bound to get a little dirty. We’ll outline every way you can clean off blood and dirt in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Although I love this small detail which gives me a lot of immersion while playing BG3, sometimes I just want to give my party members a good wash.

Baldur’s Gate 3: How to clean off blood and dirt

There are several different ways you and your companions can get clean again. Even though I don’t mind the blood and dirt, if you can’t stand seeing the party dirty, there are a few simple ways to look like you’ve just had a bath. Let’s go over every way you can clean off any blood and dirt in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Create or Destroy Water spell

Spellcasters in BG3 have an array of spells that can create fires, strike lightning, and even pour water. If you have someone in your party with the Create or Destroy Water spell, you can use it. Clerics and Druids can cast this spell, so you can use Shadowheart, Halsin, or Jaheira to cast this.

This spell can either get rid of water or rain it down on top of an area. It’s only a level one spell, so you won’t be wasting a high spell slot to cast this. Cast Create Water over your party, and the dirt and blood will wash away.

Water Bottle

If you or any of your companions are carrying the Water item, you can actually throw this at someone dirty to clean them. Unfortunately, it doesn’t count as Camp Supplies, but you can still be creative with it.

Simply right-click the bottle and choose to throw it. This will douse the ground and the nearby area with water, cleaning anyone in the process. Just hit it on the ground near any companions, you don’t want to hit your friends directly.

Long Rest

After every Long Rest, you and your companions will all become clean again. You don’t want to Long Rest too often, or else you may run out of Camp Supplies. But just know that you and your friends won’t look dirty forever.

Unfortunately, Short Rests don’t make you clean again, so you’ll have to wait until you get back to camp for a Long Rest.

Walk through water

Alternatively, if you and your party walk through any bit of water, this should clean you off. This is probably the easiest way to clean yourself of dirt and blood since you don’t have to use an item or spell slot.

There are plenty of locations in Baldur’s Gate 3 that have areas where you can get close enough to water where you get the “Wet” condition. Perhaps your camp has water nearby as well.
