Sadly, there is no fix for the majority of broken achievements in Persona 3 Reload. That being said, there are a few band-aid solutions you can try out until Atlus pushes out a patch. If you’re playing the game on Linux, there have been reports of achievements not popping until swapping to a different OS such as Windows.

Optional achievements causing the error

Persona 3 Reload’s achievements you earn can tie directly into the story moments you’re currently experiencing. Trophies such as this don’t seem to be causing people many issues. It’s the optional achievements that are plaguing people’s save files.

Furthermore, the majority of people having problems with broken achievements in Persona 3 Reload bought the game on Steam. Achievements such as encountering a Dark Zone and other early-game trophies aren’t popping when they should.

Other achievements might require a bit more progression before you unlock them. For example, you’ll be given a tutorial on the Dark Zone areas in Tartarus. While the achievement tied to the Dark Zone requires you to encounter it once, the tutorial zone does not count. You’ll have to find another Dark Zone on your own, and then you should be given the achievement. It’s unclear if you’ll need to redo certain activities to unlock achievements you’ve already completed the tasks for. But for now, if you need help defeating the Reaper and unlocking the achievement, we’ve got just the thing.
