You can’t get into the Exeter shipwreck without a Crowbar in Skull and Bones. You’ll continue to use Crowbars throughout Skull and Bones, but here is how to get Crowbar I.
Skull and Bones: How to get Crowbar I
Within the first hour of Skull and Bones, you’ll need a Crowbar I to get into a shipwreck. I eagerly tried to get into the shipwreck early, too, but luckily it’s not long until you get Crowbar I. The only way to get a level one Crowbar is to complete the quest called A Pirate’s Deal. This is started by talking to the Pirate Chief Officer on the west island.

How to complete A Pirate’s Deal quest in Skull and Bones
To complete A Pirate’s Deal, you need to get six Explosive Firearms and six Opulent Rum. This is easily found in the open waters directly north of the shipwreck. Sail close to the floating debris and loot when prompted. In a very short period of time, you’ll have all the resources you need to complete the quest.
Return to the Pirate Chief Officer, turn in the quest, and boom, you have a Crowbar I. Now, you can get into the Exeter shipwreck. Crowbar in Skull and Bones is like lockpicking in other games. When you start the mini-game, the goal is to hit green or yellow every time. If you miss three times, you fail and need to retry.
As you make progress through Skull and Bones, you’ll need higher-level Crowbars to get into shipwrecks and chests with better loot. Continue to follow the quests and, before you know it, the path toward higher-level Crowbars will be revealed to you. What isn’t revealed to you in-game is how to switch between first and third person.
