Team composition tips for Palworld

Team composition is varied and detailed in Palworld, allowing for a lot of trying things until you find what works best. With that in mind, here are some simple tips that help maximize damage.

One valuable thing to keep in mind for team synergy is certain partner skills. Some Pals have partner skills that increase the damage of specific move types while in your team. In particular, here are some damage-type increasing Pals:

  • Dumud: Soil Improver boosts attack power of Ground moves.
  • Foxcicle: Aurora Guide boosts attack power of Ice moves.
  • Nox: When fighting together, the players’ attacks have Dark damage applied.
  • Dinoblossom: Fragrant Dragon enhances Grass attacks while Dinoblossom is being ridden.
  • Cremis: Fluffy Wool increases attack power of Neutral moves.
  • Ribunny: Skilled Fingers increases attack power of Neutral moves.
  • Rooby: Tiny Spark increases attack power of Fire moves.
  • Maraith: Messenger of Death applies Dark damage to players’ attacks while mounted.
  • Pyrin Noct: Black Hare applies Dark damage to players’ attacks while mounted.
  • Pyrin: Red Hare applies Fire damage to players’ attacks while mounted.
  • Ragnahawk: Flame Wing applies Fire damage to players’ attacks while mounted.
  • Univolt: Swift Deity applies Electric damage to players’ attack while mounted.
  • Azurobe: Waterwing Dance applies Water damage to players’ attack while mounted.
  • Shadowbeak: Modified DNA enhances Dark damage while mounted.
  • Suzaku: Wings of Flame enhances Fire damage while mounted.
  • Frostallion: Ice Steed changes the players’ attack type to Ice and enhances Ice attacks while mounted at the same time.
  • Quivern: Sky Dragon’s Affection enhances Dragon attacks while mounted.
  • Wixen: Lord Fox adds fire damage to the players’ attacks when fighting together.

Team synergy explained

As an example of how to take advantage of this, having a Rooby and Wixen in your team while you use a Fire Crossbow, Suzaku or Pyrin, or Foxparks as a flamethrower will vastly increase your damage output. Using several collared Daedream in junction with Nox, Maraith, or Shadowbeak will enhance all of their Dark attacks at once, letting them easily melt through enemies. The same goes for collared Flopies and using several Dazis while riding Univolt and watching them all attack for you. It’ll make quick work of any Water bosses.

These are some simple tips for team synergy and composition in Palworld. Experiment with the tools at your disposal and increase your damage output. Now all you’ve got to do is learn how to use multiple Pals in combat.
