If you’re like me, you die a lot in Palworld. Palworld can be brutal and unforgiving even on normal difficulties, but you can help yourself by ensuring your Pals attack as often as possible. Here’s how to maximize move cooldowns in Palworld.
Getting the most out of active skill recharges/move cooldowns in Palworld
There is a little-known tip to ensure your Pals are attacking at their full capacity, and it involves mounted Pals.
Flying and Ground mount Pals have two different cooldowns for their Active Skills. This means even if your Pal uses a skill while you’re not riding it, you can immediately mount them to use it a second time, and vice versa. While most skills recharge quickly enough already, this is especially valuable for the 150-power slow recharge Active Skills. This allows you to use them twice in a row against powerful enemies like bosses and therefore effectively double your damage output.
Cooldown times range from three seconds to 55 seconds. But even if it isn’t that maximum 150 or 200 power 55-second cooldown, there are still a lot of moves with 18+ second cooldowns that are quite powerful. Most of the 90 power moves are 22 seconds, and there are still several 120, 100, 110, and so on power moves to speak of in the game. Cross-reference this with the 58 available flying and ground mounts in the game, and you can easily build a team fully capable of taking advantage of this cooldown shortcut.
That’s a simple tip on how to maximize move cooldowns in Palworld. May you survive the bosses. If you’re just starting your Palworld adventure, consider reading our guide on the best early-game mounts.
