Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Job guide: best classes for every character

These are the best classes for each Infinite Wealth party member

Choosing the right Jobs for your party members in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a huge part of the game, and each character has a handful of classes that they specialize in. While you’re given a ton of freedom to build your party, some choices are better than others.

Since Infinite Wealth splits the main cast into two groups with Ichiban and Kiryu each leading their own parties, your Job choices become even more important since you won’t have access to the same people all the time. Thankfully, you can change Jobs at any time and inherit skills to personalize your builds. Still, these are the best core classes for every character in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Best Job for Kasuga

Kasuga Ichiban is the hero of the story, so it only makes sense that the best class for him is Hero. This is an exclusive Job for Ichiban so no other party members can use it. The abilities available to a Hero are some of the most useful in the entire game, and since only Kasuga can use them, you’ll want to have him set as a Hero for most of your playthrough.

It’s worth leveling a few other Jobs for Kasuga while playing through Infinite Wealth, however, since he can inherit skills from them and become a more well-rounded fighter. Samurai is a great alternate class for Ichiban since he can learn some high-damage skills from it, and Host is another great choice to teach Kasuga some support abilities.

Ichiban has a second exclusive Job that is much more powerful than his other classes, but you’ll need to put in the work to bring it to that level. The Sujimancer Job, unlocked via the Sujimon questline, lets Kasuga use his Sujimon in normal battles. If you have a team of high-level Sujimon, the damage potential of the Sujimancer class is insane. It doesn’t start that way though, so keep Ichiban as a different Job until you assemble a solid team.

Best Job for Tomizawa

Tomizawa’s starting Job is Cabbie, but it’s one of the weaker classes in the game. It’s a good idea to inherit some Cabbie skills in other classes like Aquanaut, which is a perfect fit for Tomizawa. It gives him access to a wide array of AoE skills, something that other Jobs lack early in the game. He also gets some strong AoE heals as an Aquanaut, making him a versatile fighter.

Tomizawa also excels as a Desperado if you want to increase his damage output and leave the support to another party member like Chitose. He also makes a great Host if you want to double down on the support aspect. Just make sure to inherit some decent damage skills from other classes so he’s not stuck as a pure healer if you go that route.

Best Job for Chitose

Chitoses is a naturally agile fighter since her base job is Heiress, but switching her to a Kunoichi is the best choice you can make early in the game. Focusing entirely on damage, the Kunoichi class is incredibly powerful against both single targets and crowds of foes. It’s also great for maintaining agility buffs and other bonus effects that increase her damage output during combat as well.

If you’d rather go a different route with Chitose, then Night Queen is another Job that will maximize her damage output. Night Queen’s skillset focuses on charming enemies so it’s not for everyone, though. For a support build for Chitose, set her up as an Idol or Housekeeper to give her some healing abilities.

Best Job for Kiryu

There’s only one choice for Kiryu’s Job and that’s Dragon of Dojima. His exclusive class has one of the most diverse skill sets in the entire game and it makes him an absolute powerhouse in any situation. While he lacks support and healing abilities as the Dragon of Dojima, his damage more than makes up for it. Kiryu makes a great Desperado or Samurai if you really want to change his Job, and leveling up the Host class so Kiryu can inherit some support abilities is a good idea too.

Best Job for Nanba

Nanba is one of the most versatile characters in the entire game. His starting class, Homeless Guy, is surprisingly powerful and has access to multiple types of elemental damage and debuffs. His AoE capabilities as a Homeless Guy are also stellar, particularly his pigeon-related attacks.

You should inherit some Homeless Guy skills no matter which class you choose for Nanba. He excels as a Desperado since it shockingly emphasizes magic instead of straight shooting, inflicting status ailments on enemies while dealing damage. It’s an evolved version of the Homeless Guy Job, and combining Desperado’s skillset with some Homeless Guy skills transforms Nanba into one of Infinite Wealth’s strongest party members.

Best Job for Adachi

Adachi doesn’t have a great starting Job, but he can become one of the best members of your team with the right class. His Detective Job has a few decent skills that you should carry over via skill inheritance, but you should swap Adachi to the Action Star class as soon as you can.

This Job leverages Adachi’s attack power and focuses him entirely on damage output. Action Star doesn’t have any gimmicks like elemental damage or status effects, so he’s a reliable party member to have in case your other damage dealers get countered by enemy resistances.

Best Job for Seonhee

Seonhee’s best Job is Night Queen. While the charming mechanic of a Night Queen’s attacks is nice to have, Seonhee makes the most out of the damage-dealing skills of this class. She gets a particularly powerful AoE early on (that also has a chance to charm any survivors), and she also gets a handful of Grapple skills that will break an enemy’s guard.

You could also choose to make Seonhee a Kunoichi. It’s essentially an evolved version of her starting Assassin class, focusing entirely on dealing damage with swift strikes and maintaining agility buffs to act faster than her foes. A healthy mix of skills from all of these Jobs will make Seonhee one of the most lethal party members in all of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Best Job for Saeko

Saeko specializes in support abilities, and while you can put her as a Night Queen, Kunoichi, or other damage-focused class, her best Jobs are Housekeeper and Idol. Housekeeper takes the number one spot for Saeko because of its versatile skillset. She can heal allies while still outputting a considerable amount of damage with AOE abilities, and she gets access to an exceptionally useful skill that lets her scrub away any buffs an enemy may have.

If you’d rather have Saeko focus entirely on supporting your other party members, then Idol is the best class for her. Idol is a pure support class with plenty of healing abilities. Saeko will also get some decent damage skills as an Idol but her combat capabilities won’t be anywhere near what they’d be with other Jobs. As always, a blend of skills from these classes is ideal for Sa-chan.

Best Job for Zhao

Since Zhao just joins Kiryu’s party to fill in the remaining gap after Kiryu returns to Japan. He’s a flexible character who can fit any role. You could make him a Samurai if you need more damage on your team or you could make him a Host to fill a support role in your party.

The best overall Job for Zhao, however, is his starting Gangster class. Not only does he have a bunch of great skills that can deal a lot of damage as a Gangster, but he also channels his inner chef and can heal your team with culinary healing abilities. Some of these provide healing over time as well, which is rare among Infinite Wealth’s Jobs. The Gangster class may start off feeling a bit weak, but it gets stronger as Zhao levels up.

Best Job for Joongi

He’s in a similar situation to Zhao, joining Ichiban’s party very late in the game, so Joongi Han can fill any role that you need him to. Since you’ll already have a full team of four when Joongi joins your party, you should specialize him into a specific role that your team lacks. He makes a great Host, for example, and that will give you the freedom to level a damage-oriented Job on a character that was stuck in a support role.

Joongi’s best overall class is his starting Job: Hitman. It’s one of the fastest classes in the game, letting Joongi act much quicker than allies and enemies alike. He gets a lot of strong single-target attacks and wide-reaching AoEs as a Hitman, making him a great fit for clearing groups of enemies or whittling down a boss’ HP.

Of course, don’t forget that you need to unlock all of these Jobs before you can use them during combat. Not only will you need a ton of cash to take the required Alo-Happy tours, but you’ll also need to raise Ichiban’s personality scores to unlock them. You can take quizzes at the Ounabara Vocational School to boost his Confidence, Passion, and more, or you can complete substories throughout Hawaii.
