Best mining base locations in Palworld for maximum stone, ore, and coal gains

Stock up on Stone and Ore without putting in much work.

You need to spend a lot of time mining in Palworld to gather the materials needed to craft the best gear. Pals will make use of nearby resource nodes when working at your base, so building a base near Stone, Ore, and Coal deposits is a must.

Here are the best mining base locations in Palworld.

Best Mining Base Spot in Palworld

The best mining base location in Palworld is located in the center of the map just below the snowy mountains. You can see its exact location marked on the map below. Here, you’ll find eight Ore deposits and six Coal deposits, as well as some Stone deposits.

The Sealed Realm of the Guardian is the closest fast travel point (120, -64), just a short distance southwest. Although you’ll likely come across the Mossanda Forest fast travel point first (233, -118).

Since it’s filled with mining resource nodes, it’s naturally located at the top of a hill. With a flying Pal, however, getting up there shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. Even Nitewing is up for the task.

It is a fair bit north of the initial starting spawn area, however, so you may need to level up your Pals and craft some decent gear before heading up there to establish a base. It’s well worth the time investment though, since there aren’t any other spots on the map with this much Coal and Ore together.

Remember that you cannot expand your base radius in Palworld, so make sure you place your Palbox in a location that grants you access to all of the nodes in the area. Your Pals won’t harvest from resource nodes that are outside of the glowing blue line that marks your base’s boundaries, so try to get as many of them within your Palbox’s range as possible.

Best Early Game Mining Base Location in Palworld

If you aren’t equipped enough to visit that section of the map, then there’s another great mining base location for early-game Palworld players that’s not very far from the initial starting area at all.

In the small red zone near Rayne Syndicate Tower, there’s a Desolate Church that looks like it was ripped straight out of Elden Ring. There, you’ll find eight Ore deposits. There’s a fast travel point there (Desolate Church, 63, -417) and a Lifmunk Effigy inside, so you’ll probably want to visit this church at some point anyway.

To the side of the church, you’ll find the ore deposits. Building a base here will ensure that you never run out of Ingots and you’ll always be able to craft the best weapons and armor for you and your Pals. While there isn’t any Stone or Coal, the amount of Ore deposits more than makes up for that. It’s also located in a forest, so adding some Lumbering Pals to the mix will get you a steady supply of wood on top of ore.

Best Stone Base Location in Palworld

It turns out that the best base location for harvesting Stone in Palworld is right by the initial starting area in the Windswept Hills. There are quite a few Stone deposits that you can mine with the aid of your Pals and they respawn fairly quickly so you can stock up on Stone as fast as possible.

With the addition of a Stone Pit at your base that lets Pals harvest Stone without needing deposits, you’ll be swimming in Stone before you know it. Just make sure that you bring the right Pals for the job if you’re going to set up an advanced mining operation in the Windswept Hills.

How to Unlock More Palworld Bases

While you initially begin Palworld with only one base, you can unlock the ability to establish a second and third base with their own Palboxes after a few hours of playtime. It’s always worth keeping one base as a mining base, and maybe the other for fast travel ease.

The second base unlocks at base level 10, and the third at base level 15. The demands for these bases do increase, so take your time with it and don’t rush it as it’ll be rather stressful. With all this knowledge of the best mining bases in Palworld, you’ll be on your way to gearing up to fight the likes of Bellanoir in no time.
