How to find and beat Felbat in Palworld

In Palworld, Felbat makes for a powerful Pal that you won’t want to pass up. Its Partner Skill is amazing, and it proves to be a great fighter with great skills. Here’s how to find and catch them, as well as tackle the Felbat Field Boss.

Felbat Spawn Locations in Palworld

Felbat is a powerful Dark-type Pal that you’ll only find deep underground in dungeon caves. I kept running into them in dungeons on the island that hosts the Desolate Church. Although I’m sure they also spawn in other dungeons.

They spawn alone but have high levels. I have never seen one with a level lower than 20. Considering their level and power, you’ll need some pretty competent Pals and gear if you want to venture into a dungeon to take them down.

If you wish to farm Felbats, I would recommend staying in the dungeon where you found one. Enemies in dungeons do respawn in cleared rooms, so keep running around the dungeon and you should keep running into more Felbats. This way, you can capture ten for the EXP bonuses as long as you don’t run out of Pal Spheres.

I would recommend using Giga Spheres if you want to catch them at the minimum. Any lower and you’ll have a pretty hard time.

Upon capturing or defeating a Felbat, you’ll gain Cloth and maybe a Small Pal Soul. Farming Felbats is a great way to get Pal Souls to strengthen your Pals.

Fighting Felbat Boss in Palworld

If you would rather have a more powerful rendition of Felbat in Palworld, then you can take on the boss. A Level 23 Felbat Field Boss resides in the western reaches of the world and is trapped in its own dungeon.

In all honesty, this Field Boss is not too challenging. All of its attacks are very avoidable, and as long as you have a selection of level 20 Pals, you’ll do completely fine.

Considering this is a Dark-type Pal, you’ll want to preferably have Pals with Dragon-type attacks, like Chillet. You can actually capture a Field Boss Chillet near the primary starting point in the game. Make sure not to station Neutral Pals against it, as they’re vulnerable to Dark-types.

I would advise you to have Metal Armor and at least a Common Shield when tackling Field Boss Felbat, otherwise you’ll be brought to ruin by a few lucky strikes.

If you wish to capture the Felbat boss, then I’d use a Hyper Sphere for the best results, but a Giga Sphere will do.

The Felbat Field Boss will drop all of the normal Felbat Loot, alongside Precious Pelts. For the first time defeating it, you’ll also gain Ancient Civilization Parts and an Ancient Technology Point.

Felbat Stats in Palworld

Felbats aren’t particularly amazing in the base. They do have level 3 Medicine Production, which is fantastic, but that’s it. You’ll be better off keeping one in your team and simply summoning it when you need medicine crafted quickly.

When on your team, Felbat’s Partner Skill will be active: “Life Steal.” Like it says on the tin, you’ll be healed slightly whenever you deal damage. As there is a stark lack of healing items in Palworld, this Partner Skill is incredible. Note that it only works when Felbat is summoned.

As Felbat levels up, it’ll exclusively learn Dark-type Skills for battle.
