Palworld grants us the standard charm of crafting fire and poison-tipped arrows to let loose on enemies- but if you need to change arrow type, how do you do it? Here’s how to change arrows in Palworld.
Is it possible to change the type of Arrow you’re using in Palworld?
Here’s the unfortunate truth: You actually can’t change the arrow type that a bow uses. Muscle memory from any other game has betrayed you on this one. If you craft a fire bow, you can only let loose fire arrows from it—the same thing for the poison bow, and the standard arrows for the regular or three-shot bow. The poison and fire bows do not automatically turn regular arrows into their respective types, as they can’t be equipped.
It would be very powerful if you could combine the three-shot bow with fire or poison arrows. Imagine my disappointment and impending fear when I learned this the hard way, my arrows running out in the middle of a boss fight. Don’t be me. Always overprepare your arrows at the crafting station because you’re going to run out of them very quickly. It doesn’t matter if you have over a hundred; they will run out in one or two expeditions.
If you’ve resolved yourself to poison or fire bows and arrows, this requires extra preparation. Be sure you have a Ranch producing venom glands or fire organs en masse, or it’ll be impossible to keep up with the demand for crafting arrows. Don’t give up on resigning yourself to only beating foes to unconsciousness with a baseball bat just yet — it’s taxing, but the ranged firing from arrows is quite worth the preparation even without the arrow types exchanging.
Equipment breaks quickly in Palworld, and there’s no reason to make the same bow twice. Instead, it’s more efficient to repair your tools, like the Bow, using the correct resources.
