How to quickly find Melpaca in Palworld

A noble and fluffy steed.

Melpaca is one of the mid-tier Pals you’ll likely try to catch once you start feeling comfortable in Palworld. Luckily, they can be found in a couple of places in the game. Here’s how you can find a Melpaca for yourself in Palworld.

Where to find Melpaca in Palworld

Melpaca is one of those annoying Pals that can be found in quite a few different spots in Palworld. And when they do appear, it’s usually not in a group bigger than two or three. Most of the time, I just find one on their own. It’s an easy Pal to miss, unfortunately. However, the search area we’re sticking with is located on the starting island just northwest of the Plateau of Beginnings. Check the map below for the general area to start searching.

I think the easiest way to get Melpaca in Palworld is to fast travel back and forth between the Plateau of Beginnings and the Grassy Behemoth Hills markers. When you load into the hills, look around in the immediate area for a Melpaca. If you can’t see one, just fast travel away and come back and check again. Keep repeating this until a Melpaca spawns. After about five attempts in a row, this worked for me, and it appeared again after another four tries. Melpaca is usually somewhere between level 9 and 11, so be prepared for a fight.

The best ways to use Melpaca

Melpaca has a few utilities that make it very useful in Palworld. At a base, it can only use Farming, but that’s fine if all you need it to do is tend to crops. But this Pal truly excels outside of bases while you’re running around and exploring. Melpaca can be your mount after you craft a saddle, which makes getting around the map much easier. Plus, it’s a formidable attacker with a decent attack stat.
