A fresh ten minutes of footage from The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is wandering its way across the internet, showing intercut segments from the forthcoming sequel.
It’s not the completely unedited, rolling piece I’d hoped it was, but the cuts between scenes aren’t too obtrusive and seem to give a reasonable indication of what the game is like. This footage, according to the info in the corner, comes from a pre-beta build of the title.
We get to see quite a bit of Geralt strolling around (I guess he’s too cool to run, or even jog) and a fair amount of the new combat the game will offer. It actually looks a little Fable-like, what with all the rolling around – but Witcher fans will no doubt be hoping it goes a bit more in-depth than the fights in that series.
Good news for fans of the dice-playing minigame, because that looks to be back in a somewhat new form too.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is due for PC release on 17 May.
