Since BG3 is a pretty long game, getting to the end credits successfully in this mode is extremely difficult. If you screw up once, like many of these players, you’re done for good.

There are tons of players online, especially on Reddit, discussing how they are failing Honor Mode in Baldur’s Gate 3 in the most hilarious ways possible. It can really come out of nowhere, such as when the user “Izajasz45” talked about their blind honor run failing miserably.

With two other friends, these players were making their way through BG3, until they made it to the Creche. Upon insulting Vlaakith, she immediately kills the entire party, forcing you to restart your save. But in Honor Mode, you only have one save, and dying isn’t an option. I can imagine how heartbreaking it must’ve been to fail Honor Mode just for insulting someone.

Sometimes you’re not even the one to ruin your Honor Mode run, it’s an NPC who’ll do it for you. To try and get some Spell Slots back during a boss fight, the user in this Reddit post explained how Dame Aylin ruined their plans. You have to waste a turn sleeping after consuming Angelic Reprieve for your Spell Slots to come back. Unfortunately, Aylin’s AI decided to wake their wizard up, ruining their Honor Mode run.

Some players even have hilarious video footage of their last moments in Honor Mode. In a post titled “The worst most stupid Honor mode death I’ve done,” this user’s Reddit video showed how all their characters got booted off into a chasm by a trap they could’ve easily avoided. It’s even funnier watching them scramble to get control of the other characters who follow suit and fall into the chasm toward their deaths.

Speaking of doing silly things in BG3, many players have also broken their Paladin Oaths in the stupidest ways possible.
