Time for a little break from battling. Let’s make some sandwiches! Here is how to beat Crispin’s Elite Trial in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How to beat Crispin’s Elite Trial in The Indigo Disk

As you might expect from Crispin’s outfit, his Elite Trial will revolve around cooking. And since sandwiches have been a major item in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, it is only natural that we will have to put together a sandwich. But not an ordinary sandwich, of course: a Super-Spicy Sandwich.

I usually take my spice quite well, but I think we will push things a bit too far for me in this Elite Trial. For the Super-Spicy Sandwich, you will need the following ingredients:

• Chili Sauce
• Chorizo
• Jalapeno
• Mustard
• Onion

Crispin’s Elite Trial Trade Quest

The trick is the following: you won’t be able to use any previously acquired ingredients. You see, this is a trade quest, which will require you to get ingredients and trade them for the adequate ones with the other trainers that spawn close to Crispin. And things aren’t as easy as “Hey, gimme those onions.” You will need to collect ingredients that are not useful for the recipe to trade them for the ones you will need. Here are the steps you must take to collect all the ingredients:

1. Find the girl who wants to fight for a Potato Salad and defeat her.
2. Trade the Potato Salad for an Onion, Cucumber, and Prosciutto.
3. Exchange the Cucumber for Chili Sauce.
4. Find the girl who wants to fight for Mayonnaise and defeat her.
5. Find the boy who is asking what ingredient is composed of Egg, Olive Oil, and Vinegar. Show him the Mayonnaise and he will give you those three Ingredients.
6. Trade the Eggs for Chorizo.
7. Trade the Vinegar for Mustard. Do not pick the Marmalade, please.
8. Exchange both the Prosciutto and the Olive Oil for a Jalapeno.

You can also get a second Jalapeno from one trainer who offers it for 50 BP or as a prize for defeating him. It is totally optional, but if you get the second Jalapeno, you will see a special cutscene.

Once you have assembled the Super-Spicy Sandwich, you will be ready to battle Crispin. This is quite an easy Trial that will touch upon one of the most popular types of quests in RPGs that can get confusing at times. Be sure to follow the steps above and you will have a Super-Spicy Sandwich in your hands. Maybe I’ll give it a shot in real life, what could go wrong?
