You will find different kinds of creatures in different moons, and almost all of them will be hostile towards you. Hoarding Bugs are such creatures that can only be found inside the buildings you need to explore. These are creepy-looking giant bugs with multiple legs that “walk” by crawling on their feet. They can also fly in the air, which is enough to give you major jumpscares in the middle of your exploration.

Hoarding Bugs are initially harmless creatures who roam around the facilities doing the same work as you, collecting scraps. They do not instantly attack you upon spotting you — rather, they will get defensive about their scraps. If you go near them, these bugs will start buzzing and giving you signals to back off. Only if you get dangerously close to them will they then start attacking you, and within a few hits, you will be dead.

Hoarding Bugs also roam around the rooms of the facilities to collect the scraps and gather them in a specific spot. They can even steal the loot you’re holding and attack you if you try to get your things back. Now, every scrap is valuable in Lethal Company, especially if you are on deadline day. So, if anything gets stolen, you can take it back from the Hoarding Bugs. But you must make the wild sprint for your life towards the exit, or else the bug will catch up with you with its great speed, take back the loot, and kill you in the process.

How to deal with Hoarding Bugs

If you are playing with your friends, Hoarding Bugs should be the least of your concerns. If you have a shovel in your hand and a buddy alongside you, you can kill these Hoarding Bugs easily and take your loot back. If you manage to find the homes of these bugs, you can hit a jackpot by getting a bunch of loot spread across one place.

However, you might have a hard time if you encounter a group of Hoarding Bugs somewhere while playing solo. Make sure to keep safe distances as these creatures can kill you with just a few hits. After getting to a safe distance, swing your shovel to hit the Hoarding Bugs and kill them on the spot. These creatures are not as dangerous as the other monsters, so you do not need to think about it much.
