Coral Island was available in Early Access for a year, but now it released its full 1.0 version. So the real question is if Coral Island is available on the Switch.
This farming and life simulator would be perfect on a handheld device, but is it even available on this Nintendo console? We have the answers you’re seeking.
Coral Island: Is it available on the Nintendo Switch?
While Coral Island is available on a select few consoles, sadly it is not on the Nintendo Switch. Currently, Coral Island is on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and the PlayStation 5. But there is still some good news that comes with this unfortunate discovery.
In a recent developer update on October 17, Jeremiah, one of the developers, made a post regarding the 1.0 release and other questions fans have had about it. The game where you can romance the locals, grow your farm, and tend to animals has a Nintendo Switch release on the horizon.

This is what the post had to say: “Coral Island is targeting a 2024 launch for Nintendo Switch. We need more time to ensure the playing experience is as best as possible.” Although 2024 is just a few weeks away, the post doesn’t specify which part of 2024 it’s targeting. Hopefully, we’ll get Coral Island in early 2024, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
If you still want the handheld experience, you’d be pleased to know that it’s available on Steam, meaning it’s also on the Steam Deck, if you own one. Otherwise, you’ll just have to patiently wait for the release on Nintendo’s handheld console. In the meantime, if you’re also wondering whether Coral Island is multiplayer-friendly, we have answers to this question as well.
Coral Island is available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
