Destiny 2 Positive Outlook Guide

Destiny 2: Positive Outlook godroll and location

Think Positive.

Positive Outlook is a Void Energy Auto Rifle that offers solid stats in just about every area in Destiny 2. It’s a gun that doesn’t excel in any one area particularly. But it’s a solid entry in anyone’s arsenal when you need something reliable. Here’s how to get one yourself and what perks to keep an eye out for.

Where to find Positive Outlook in Destiny 2

Players can find Positive Outlook by completing Vanguard activities like Strikes and Nightfalls. This weapon has a chance to drop randomly at the end of the activity and can also be found in Vanguard Engrams. Plus if you’ve already acquired the weapon before, you can refocus it with Vanguard Engrams to try and get a better set of perks.

The Positive Outlook is a fairly standard Auto Rifle with nothing exceptional of note. But it’s base stats are well-balanced and it’s easy to use for both PvE and PvP activities. If you’re a newer player to Destiny 2 and you don’t quite have an extensive collection of weapons, I’d highly recommend picking it up.

Positive Outlook god roll

Positive Outlook doesn’t have many perks that excel in both PvE and PvP scenarios. So we’re looking at two sets of perks for each kind of activity. Here are the perks you should look for:

PvE:

  • Arrowhead Brake or Fluted Barrel
  • Appended Magazine, Armor-Piercing Rounds, or Flared Magwell
  • Ambitious Assassin or Stats for All
  • Repulsor Brace, Destabilizing Rounds, or Golden Tricorn

PvP:

  • Hammer-Forged Rifling
  • High-Caliber Rounds or Ricochet Rounds
  • Zen Moment, Tap the Trigger, or Dynamic Sway Reduction
  • Elemental Capacitor or Kill Clip

Luckily the Positive Outlook has a large spread of perks that make it viable for both PvE and PvP. But you’ll likely need to roll the weapon a couple of times before you can get a version that’s excels in either kind of content. Thankfully Strikes are easy to grind out so it shouldn’t take you long to get a great version of the Positive Outlook in Destiny 2.
