Not everyone wants to be brutally hammered every time they play video games. Sometimes it’s nice to enjoy a game once or twice a week and not worry about burning muscle memory into your brain. Turning difficult settings down allows for the more casual players among us to enjoy video games without having to dedicate hours a day to the game. However, as notoriously hard as Souls-Like games are, they rarely have a way to make it easy. With the release and success of Lords of The Fallen, we are on the search for its difficulty setting.
Is there a difficulty setting in Lords of the Fallen?
No, you’re going to have to follow that age-old piece of advice and ‘Gut Gud.’ There is no way to turn down the difficulty of Lords of The Fallen. As with most Souls-Like games, the difficulty and brutality of the gameplay are a huge factor in what makes the game what it is. Repeatedly dying until you figure it out is par for the course.
However, this does make things a little harder for players who may only have small periods to play. I find that when I finally crack a boss or level in games like Lords of The Fallen, it is because I have repeatedly thrown myself against it until muscle memory has taken over, and I know each step better than my own family.
The lack of difficulty settings in Lords of The Fallen may put a few players off picking up the game. However, there are always ways of making these hard games a little easier. You can always check out guides, as oftentimes, there are methods to the madness. Rhythms and cheese moves will be found to add difficulty settings to Lords of the Fallen essentially. If you’re really struggling, keep playing, look for tips, and persevere. There is nothing more satisfying than finally sending that boss to the nether realm.
